This is presented as a triumph, because it suits a few, but look, what is profit - it's energy demanded from others as money (Convert the money to energy at market rates). It's energy we all need about 3kWhrs per day of, to metabolise, just to stay alive. So if we lose some, we have to make it up from somewhere else. Every bill we have to pay, every subscription has to be made up by us similarly charging for everything we do too, to at least get the energy we need to live, we have to consistently pull in more energy than we give out, and all of us doing this is an energy scourge on the planet, which is the only thing that can actually sustain outputing more energy than it gets put in for any length of time.

Take all that energy extracted from the planet by profit, add the energy lost in extraction and refinement processes, convert to kWhrs and apply to the thermal mass of the planet, and look, it adds up to the temperature rise we are seeing. This is why the temperature rise will never be stopped by for-profit businesses being made capturing carbon etc; It's profit itself that is the problem.

I've suggested to previous posts of yours the platform could go solar powered, using money-fuel tree infrastructure that I've described in Medium, removing all your bills, actually converting them to revenue that you could not only use to pay all wages etc, but pay all subscribers for their time spent on the platform, rather than charging us for it.

All platforms doing this, going solar powered, would reverse the energy flow through humanity so as to reverse the trend of global warming, to become global cooling.

I am not sure what else I can say, to try to convince you. You have 450 stories, more than 9999 comprehensive replies and all my credentials as a systems Engineer studying the global energy problem at own cost now for seven years, and still it never sees much light of day in Medium.

Hey-ho.

Btw, profit, is becoming increasingly difficult, because the underlying availability of energy to extract, including the energy even in food, is being depleted. Maximum availability of energy to extract happened in the seventies, hence why we had manned flights to the moon, supersonic passenger flight, and reusable deep space shuttles.

Now we are struggling to keep budget passenger flights in the air without the doors falling off, and astronauts are being abandoned on the ISS.

I give the full system solution solving all of this, the solution that appears to be being pushed by nature, to turn it all back around again to real progress, whilst saving the planet at the same time, it’s all in Medium.
