I wonder if it could be even better if it was fuel call based, rather than batteries? Fuel cells can be charged in battery recharge timescales using electrolysers from electrical power, or they can be refuelled much quicker by fuel created previously, from any hydrogen backed up solar community, all of which would have excess fuel generated as a natural result of maintaining successful uninterrupted 24/7 backup.
I believe the natural progression of things will be to rapdily decentralise, equipping all communities with off-grid solar power, backed up by hydrogen, as opposed to batteries.
I think this will happen very quick when the advantages and necessity of "Kardashev money" become realised.
That would provide a new network of hydrogen refil points for transportation at all points in the system.
I think this will be forced by economics, it has to happen quickly now to be in with any chance of saving the financial system from backruptcy
