This is good news but it would be even better if they were swapping out batteries for fuel cells, to fit with things going all solar hydrogen, sooner or later, even airplanes - sodium batteries or batteries of any kind will never compete with burning fuel, for power to weight ratio, so why not, if the fuel burns with no pollution other than heat, and if the heat it creates is the heat absorbed from the energy of the sun in the first place, via solar power converted by all communities, then the heat is no problem either. All communities would produce hydrogen just as a by-product of their own requirement to back up power 24/7, and as a by-product of using excess hydrogen for transportation we would see drinking water filtration, and even production of food independently of the historically natural food chain (See "Solein")
Quite a different world, from the world of extraction that we know and have become hooked on, but has to go, due to now the growing component of economic product being created by the energy of the sun, which was given for free, with nothing asked in return, since utiliities energy has transferred already between 20 and 30 percent to domestic and community solar, and this has to keep growing, like the leaves on a tree, that economic product is swallowing up the whole economy, but it can't be monetised as debt, because it was given for free, this is the real physical reason for inflation, that still is not talked about by banks or money issuers, who surely know about it, even Nikola Tesla knew about it, of course his only funder, and de-funder JP Morgan knew about it too, but now nature has this all tied up, there is no way round, money will devalue until the only thing that can be done is done - massive issue of UBI to reflect the eonomic product being created from solar, hence all the real systemic benefits that can be had by hydrogen, after the profit monster is no more.
