This is an interesting analysis, thanks for sharing. Network effects and black holes do have a lot in common. But I would counter it is the black hole of capitalism itself, with no apparent countering force, that is drawing us all in via the internet, to somewhere unthinkably scary.

There is also reason for some optimism.
