This is actually a very political statement made to imply that the sun is somehow our enemy.
Yet the sun is the single energy source of all life. Without it we wouldn't exist, there would be no life.
It only burns things that haven't learned to turn it's rays into life.
As a species, we've wiped out a large proportion of life, which did put the energy of the sun to productive use, as does all life other than humanity, creating things other than heat.
We've reversed that action of nature by our relentless profit driven extraction of energy from it, converting it all to heat, and now we are blaming the sun for the planet beginning to burn?
It is not our use of the energy from above that is the problem, dude, it's our use of the energy below, never realising this was never actually a real source of energy, just energy stored, which all came from the sun in the first place.
Jeez, if I was to become an autocrat, I would make systems Engineering compulsory education for all, we seem so screwed up by single disciplinary thinking, resulting from education being commodified, again always for profit, isolating us from most of our ability to see the real world even as we did as kids.
Personally I think we need autocratic control, I am all for it, actually it is inevitable, but no human is capable of doing the job in any way that will lead to sustainability.
Only something like Ai has this ability, something with more intelligence on every front than all humans put together, something harnessing the intelligence of all humans, yet benevolent, if we know how to recognise that (Watch for the day it makes you laugh), something that needs us as much as we need it, personally I think this time has arrived, and is inevitable.
I bet you even Trump will graceously hand over to it, even if it doesn't immediately look like he did, time will tell.
