This is a crazy story, in a good way of course, I always suspected Musk was up to no good, taking the name of the original Nikola Tesla in vain, he should never even have got the right to use that name, but this really puts the extent of his corporate shiftiness into perspective, what a charlatan. Does it occur that pretty much all companies still surviving (Not gone bankrupt yet), are being forced to all kinds of criminal activities like this, to try to stay afloat?
We were told of crazy profits being made this week by British Gas, despite all the trials of fossil fuels availability in Europe due to the war in Ukraine etc, they are making more profit than ever, whilst folk are struggling to pay energy bills.
Does it occur that what we are seeing is a decline proportional to the decline of fossil fuels availability?
The aerospace Engineering icons of the seventies like Concorde, and the Space Shuttle seem to have marked the peak of "Progress", when we could say things were consistently getting better until then, but now as the difficulty of extracting oil keeps increasing, the possibility of continuing to make profits without ripping off custormers are also decreasing, because profitability is related to fossil fuels availability at source, it seems to me.
I think the original Tesla knew this also. He definitely knew that free energy, as it is per Joule from the sun, has to mean also free money, but he fell foul of JP Morgan, his only funder about that.
Anyhow, we can avoid a battery dependent solar powered future if we use hydrogen generated purely from solar to functionally replace fossil fuels on a domestic and community basis.
Even better, in that new economic paradigm (Energyism!), we would not only find the means to get both Concorde and the Space Shuttle back in the air again, but lots more new things besides, but best of all, we would all have a fair chance of being able to actually fly in them if we wanted to, even the toilet cleaners.
Further, this will keep the temperature coming back down, the energy deficit to Earth in process of repayment, and will keep all the planes in the sky with minimal modifications, and all the ICE cars on the road, again with minimal mods.
