This is a cool summary of Wikimedia, I didn't know much of the history or principals of it, thanks for posting. I've been writing for quite a few years now how various web platforms should move to becoming solar powered hydrogen backed communities to achieve energy security, which is important enough, but probably much more importantly, an actual source of wealth, which comes at no cost longer term, and is good for the planet, whilst being actually limitlessly scaleable for free, which in the case of Wikimedia, would remove dependence on donations for the future, providing you with funds you might even donate to deserving users, definitely paying the wages of all employees.
I've written how this might apply to Medium - not much notice seems to be paid to it, as it is a for-profit platform.
Now seeing Wikimedia is non profit, it looks to me like actually this would be a much more suitable platform to use as an example.
So I have it in my notes now to do a subsequent article focussing on Wikimedia soon, inspired by this article. Hopefully you might find it useful.
Details of your servers and current power requiremeents would be useful, if those are public, to be able to put some firmer figures on estimates.
Do you have any links to details like that?
Ps, something also worth noting is that the terminology "Turkey" describing the country seems to have been superseded, according to turkish friends and related media like Al Jazeera, Turkey now insists the world uses "Turkiye", to refer to their country.
