Thinking we are creative when we are not really, just looking to make some money, is the joke Ai is putting on us. Realisation of that will happen sooner or later, it seems to me the author of the source story has realised it already and that isn't a bad thing, because by that we can all move on to what we truly like creating, not what might make / (energy profit) in the old system.
