They are going out of control alright but not dropping as they "Should" have done, so they will be there drifting for a lot longer than they "Should".... how long until they hit something? How do they even know it wasn't a dead startlink that took out the last Starship? There are literally too many to track now, so they will not actually know when a Starlink satellite hits something, we will only be able to guess when we see it all hit the fan.

I created satellite orbital tracking software based on the TLE algos of TS Kelso, who was (And probably still is) the guru of satellite orbital dynamics, when that was part of my brief. There were about 4000 satelltites to track at that time, 3/4 of them Russian. We put an upper limit of 10,000 satellites on the software, that was way more than we ever thought could be safely supported in orbit.

I am pretty sure TS Kelso would have a similar view, and he was probably ignored.

Kessler event is more or less inevitable now imho, just a matter of time.

Starlink was / is reckless beyond belief.
