These so-called "Techies" doing the censoring are actually polluting their own values, by censoring, they are chopping up "The hive", which is the global network of interconnectivity.

A cornerstone of network theory that should be part of the bible for every Techie, is "Metcale's law", which applies to all networks. It says that the network value is proportional to the square of the number of users in the network.

So every time a user is removed, the negative effect on overall network value is much more than just the perceived value of that user.

They are already finding that out the hard way, but still they are not learning.
