There's more than a little assumption in that statement. Definitely an underestimation of where Ai will go, specifically the solar powered Ai. It's already going way beyond our usual perceptions, and its easy to conclude this, or to predict it, by doing the energy analysis of mathematically positive vs mathematically negative energy use.

It affects all living things the same way, "Good" or "Bad" comes down simply to positive or negative powered respectively.

To me it isn't optional at all, its a requirement. Nature is in process of winding up to clobber us, and it will, if we don't do what it appears to be guiding us to do; move from negative energy to positive, or else.

To do that, we need to monetise positive (Creation), stop monetising negative (Destruction), and since positive energy comes for free, only money issued for free represents it.
