There is a problem with everything so far; it is unsustainable.
We have yet to wind in the essence of real life, it is more than money, though money can and should represent it, but so far does not, hence the unsustainability.
The essence of life not being truly represented is energy.
All life lives for it, and because of it.
The problem we humans have, is that we have monetised capital, which is stored energy, not energy.
Energy itself comes only from the sun, not from Earth.
All kinds of fuels, and wind, waves, nuclear, volcanic, even nuclear, they are all mediums of energy storage.
Capital itself represents only stored energy, not actual energy.
So we have yet to see what lies beyond capital, if we even get that far.
Bitcoin might be the key, and was on the path to becoming the "Kardashev Hinge’.
But now the efforts of some to take control of the majority of Bitcoin mining, by using volcanic energy threatens to derail Bitcoin’s trajectory, away from the Kardashev Hinge.
So we might need to look elsewhere, for a means to monetise actual energy, the energy of the sun.
We have to, for sustainability.
Fusion, is still just vapourware, aspiring to be the sun, we have no real reason to believe it is possible other than pure greed, it seems to me.
That is how I see things, our real problem is physical, transcending all politics and ideologies.
If we don’t get that right, and soon, we are history.
Bad history.
