There is a much more sinister explanation for desertification, not just of the Sahara, but of the planet in general. And look, it's accelerating.

Seems to me we have some explaining to do, that scientists maybe don't want to admit any responsibility for.

I can't recall exactly the quotation, but it says something like "The truth is whatever our jobs depend on".

Unfortunately that truth is not good enough for longevity of the species, or of all life that depends on us.

There is a growing body of evidence showing that our activity over the past few thousand years is to blame, and if we don't sort it out, with a very obvious, basic fix, we are not much longer for the planet as a species.

I have a child also, though grown up now, and I worry about this more for her sake than mine.
