There is a lot going on, on this front, also in Europe, in fact NASA has apparently also been working with European bioreactor produced protein, which I guess is the same thing fundamentally as lab-grown meat.

It connects beautifully with green hydrogen and the energy of the sun, from a systems point of view.

Like hydrogen itself, food from bioreactors is only seen as expensive if considered in terms of negative energy (Non solar, aka energy by extraction).

If the Joules creating it were received for free, as they are from solar, and those Joules were monetised in any way similar to the Joules from negative energy (Monetised by money-as-debt), then we would no longer think food from bioreactors as being expensive.

This is obviously a touchy subject that even the potential producers of food from bioreactors themselves necessarily driven by profit, which is dependent on negative energy, are afraid to breach.
