There is a limit to what the environment can take. We've never been closer to that limit than now. Already we might get a nasty surprise this summer, from the sudden hit of fossil fueled / conventional war which has happened this year so far.

Previous arguments that nuclear war might be survivable don't apply any longer, it is deteriorating exponentially already. We are already at the point of having to crisis-manage our existence, by redirection of the defence spending of all countries towards implementation of solar, like we have to do ultimately in whatever scenario of survival anyone cares to identify.

It actually looks like getting involved in the war, even by conventional force, will be the straw that breaks the camel's back, as far as environment goes.

This time, if we can't settle this without escalating violence, I think we are done, not just us, but all life on Earth.

Earth just can't sustain human war any longer, it seems to me.

Caitlin obviously believes we can't survive a nuclear war.

I would go further and say we can't sustain further war of any kind.

The more I study the energy system, the more apparent it looks to me that we really have reached the end of days.

We still have a choice, to go extinct or not, as far as I can see, but this war is throwing everything down the pan. Pretty soon, we will no longer have any choice, we will be finished, along with all other life on Earth, if folk can't find a way to fix the stupid bullshit war without further escalation.
