There are several things wrong here, which leads you, and perhaps some unwitting readers to the wrong conclusion, which could be a fatal mistake for us as a species right now, As someone who's professional bread and butter is complexity management, I have to stress it is crucial we do see the only way out of the environmental crisis.
Failing to see it is certain death of our species.
I believe you might have read about the Bitcoin Kardashev Hinge, but I don't remember you commenting on it.
The fundamental issue is with your take on solar power.
You state here that it is all played out, but it isn't, it is only just getting started, with the other thing you present as using wasteful energy, Bitcoin.
The sun is the only source of energy, there is no other, and none of it is renewable, it is only stored on Earth in the various forms that we know and treat as capital.
Bitcoin combines with solar power to give us the first and most established form of money as sunlight.
The plant, of bitcoin combined with solar installations does something very similar to trees in nature.
It generates money capable of sustaining not only itself, but all of humanity.
That fact has to be purposefully ignored, to keep pushing the grand energy Ponzi, as all banks and conventional business are still trying to do, including making completely un-keepable promises of "Reduction" in so many decades hence.
The fact that we don't have decades is very clear, when we can see the real issue; we just do not use the power of the sun, the thing that powers all of life from a source not even on Earth.
We either fix that, or we finish in flames, the heatdomes we saw this year are only the start of the planet beginning of our planet beginning to burn, fired by the energy of the sun, our protection depleted by our consumption focused only on the energy stored on Earth.
It should be apparent to all that the protection layer which we have removed was itself a kind of stored energy.
In fact all of life is a kind of stored energy.
The only way we can start to put some of it back, is to use the power at source, in the same way as trees do, sustained entirely by the energy of the sun, supplying additive work to the creation of nature, with no further load put on the now depleted natural stored energies of Earth.
Failing to see that, or acting on it as a species, will result in us burning, literally.
