The Voynich manuscript looks to me like an invocation of magic. The identical repeated human figures, all in different postures but with the same idiotic expression, same hair, same vaguely androgenous body shape, all look like invocations of a kind.
In words, it looks like the same sentence, or spell, repeated over and over. And we all know where that leads - establishment of accepted facts, but not necessarily truth, just a dialog someone wishes us to believe.
It might even be a critique of magic, an observation of it, and a comment on it, like a kind of QED.
