The timescale is set by the rate of increase of inflation, as far as I see, and it is exponential. What it indicates is the transition from extracted energy to solar, though the power utilities companies will maybe never admit it, the finance industry has to, sometime soon, then, they might fear all hell breaking loose, but actually it is more like heaven breaking loose :)
