The Ship

A poem

We row, and we row.

To the drumbeat; boom, boom, boom.

The drummer looks away. We peek at our map.

Boom, boom, boom.

Alas we are headed for disaster! The rocks, they loom!

The whiplash cracks out, and we row, ever harder.

Boom, boom, boom.
