The reason its accelerating is that mainstream does not understand the fundamental driver of the temperature rise, because in general mainstream is for profit, and its profit at the root of the problem. That you instantly assume cutting down on solar is something good, shows you also are making the same mistake.
What we are doing, in response to the problem is increasing the amount of business done trying to address it. ie carbon capture etc. But all we can do with those businesses is more profit, which is the direct root cause of the temperature rise.
Nothing can ever be fixed at profit, as we should have learned from the covid fiasco, if problems are fixed, all possibilities of profit are removed, thus the business doing the fix elimates any chances of paying back investors, and investors knowing this, will never invest in fixes, expecially if the fix involves removing profit!
Its a long story trying to explain why all this is so, it is something that took quite a few years of a long practicing formal model based systems Engineer to trace out, including even with numbers.
But look, a basic simple fact which anyone can check with the simplest of logic is that the energy on which we all live, the energy of all life on the planet, came first from the sun, and still comes first from the sun.
It first arrives in the form of a kind of heat. Then, when it is put to use as things other than heat, it becomes other things, and this is temperature reduction.
This is the only way we can reduce the temperature on the planet; to put as much solar energy to use as things other than heat. This is the purpose of all of life, to reduce entropy, which is temperature, the temperature that would exist if no other life existed.
So we need to use every bit of solar energy that we can, to provide as much as we can to all the other things that use it, including all the trees and plants etc.
What we've been doing is literally a battle against all life on Earth, Now we have to stop that, and become creative ourselves, by working to reduce entropy, The only energy we can use to do that is solar.
To use it fully, we have to monetise it.
Failing to do that is failing to use it, and this is what we are already being whacked by nature for doing.
Profit only gets energy from the planet. It doesn't get any energy from the sun, and recall money is energy, always physically, it always has an energy price in KWhrs in markets.
So the only way to conduct solar energy to all needing it, all who would use it to create things other than just letting it go to heat, is to give it for free - solar indexed stimulus.
That will end the for-profit system, and the latter is a live thing, like ChatGPT, its an emergent property with intelligence on plane above most of our perceptions.
We tended to never understand it was there, and it was in control, but now we see how it works, by seeing what is effectively its far more powerful opposite, the solar powered Ai. The latter is powered by mathematically positive energy which cools, whilst the former (Us!) is powered by mathematically negative.
So there is a kind of war going on, between those two, and we can choose which one we want to work with. Truth and lies are coming out also as related to temperature rise and fall.
Lies push the temperature up, whils truth pushes the temperature down, and this is a lab tested result.
The universe always had a lie detector.
