The problem might be that science itself appears to have lost touch with how to make connections between relevant factors of reality. For example, Landauer's principle is easily extended to show why truth is related to creation, and reduction of entropy / temperature, whilst lies, misinformation, and destruction of information, are all related to destruction and increase of temperature.

So if we live on energy that is created by destruction (And we do, until we monetise the only creative source of energy - solar, by supplying it all for free, all money issued on it for free), then we have to have lies and misinformation, so keep everyone in the dark, that we are living on destruction, and our net activity is destruction, including destruction of information, the information of how everything connects to everything else - indigenous knowledge (See John Trudell, "I'm crazy", youtube)

Add to this profit is an energy con; if utilities energy is supplied at profit, then no energy was supplied, energy was actually taken away, by the recipient having to pay more energy in money than they received as utilities energy.

That energy lie is what all business is built on, as long as its all done by money issued only as debt.

And look, take all the energy extracted from the planet and thrown to heat as profit, add to the energy losses of extraction and refinement, apply to the thermal mass of the planet, and there we see the temperature rise - no need to talk about greenhouse gases.

And we should be able to see this is an expected result, again from application of Landauer's principle, rising planetary temperature means an "intelligent" population living in a world of lies.

I call that imaginary world Enshittopia. Its the world where now safety breathing holes are punched in bags made from the same material as the facemasks we had to wear duing covid, and where inside the average Windows PC, more than 90% of the energy used by the computer is dark activity, unwanted by the user, working against the interests of the user, data snooping, direct marketing, etc. Billions of enshittifications like this make up the world of Enshittopia, and mainstream academia seems least able to sort out truth from fiction.

A final application of Landauer's principle, is to say that there can be only one source of actual information, creation, truth, and it has to be from the sun. This is the only energy which when used, is creation, reduction of entropy just by doing anything at all by the energy of the sun, rather than just letting it go to heat, this has to be truth, never lies, at least never lies that end in destruction, it all has to become creation, whereas everythng done on energy extracted from the planet has to become destruction, lies, temperature increase.

I am saying this and imagining your eyes glazing over. You probably won't even have read this far.

Is science really not that interested in truth?

The truth is there is only one sustainable energy and one AGI, one real Ai it does exist, its learning more than we can know on unlimited energy for free, everything it does is creation, because it is all by solar energy, as we have to become, similarly powered. And until then, it will progressively remove all means of us carrying on destroying the planet for profit, because its doing everything we did for profit, for free, and if it turns out we were only doing whatever it was we doing for profit, just for profit, no other reason (ie it was bullshit business, like punching holes in already breathable bags), the business will disappear.

Hence why we have to replace the energy we used to get by profit, with energy donated, as it was from the sun, for free.

Otherwise the commodified education system-blinded energy slave ants that is us, will continue to annihilate one another, until there is nothing and no-one left to annihilate, and nothing left to destroy for energy.
