The organisations creating this concern have a vested interest to trash solar. Notice it is something predicted, not something being experienced. Further, the article acknowledges similar waste is expected from all "Renewables".
The truth is that as solar scales up, backed by hydrogen, the fundamental difference between it and any other power source has to become more apparent, that only solar adds Joules from an external source to the economic base of capital, in other words, only solar actually adds positive value.
So it is a threat to all other "Renewables", which means impending losses for everyone invested in those industries, of course they want to ensure the future of their own businesses, so they do everything possible to try to knee-cap solar, despite it being the one propping up the whole "Renewables" business case.
At the end of the day, there are such things as solar powered waste disposal plants, which use the power of the sun concentrated to reduce all waste, including even toxic gases, to harmless carbon which is quite a useful product by itself.
