The Mosquito’s Flight

Inspired by, and in a way dedicated to Anopheles:

In twilight’s hush, a mosquito’s flight, A creature small, a world alight. A thirst for life in every beat, Yet its path would take a different seat.

Once a pest, with bloodlust keen, A nuisance to those it hadn’t seen. But nature’s whispers, they softly sung, A change was coming, for old and young.

The mosquito heeded the Earth’s plea, To mend its ways, to set hearts free. It soared to heights with wings anew, To where the sun’s embrace was true.

With each dawn, it kissed the light, Drinking in the sun so bright. A transformation, a mighty quest, From bloodsucker to Earth’s caress.

No more a pest, but a worker’s grace, A steward now of nature’s embrace. Pollinating flowers, spreading cheer, Its role reborn, the path was clear.

A metamorphosis, a noble stride, From darkness to the sunny side. The mosquito danced in meadows wide, In harmony with Earth, side by side.

And as it buzzed with newfound glee, The world transformed, for all to see. A tale of change, a lesson learned, From pest to friend, the Earth it earned.
