The irony is that China is far more advanced than Taiwan in UAV manufacture, and in fact, if you look at some of the videos online in which UAVs are being used against Russia by Ukraine, for example, who do not have their own established UAV manufacturing technology (Unlike Russia), the devices I've seen being used in these videos are labelled "DJI", which is China's biggest UAV manufacturer, who dominate the market for domestic and small business UAVs, naturally those are easiest to obtain and modify to carry explosives.

This is part of the reason I've distanced myself now from commercial UAV research and production, it was obvious those would be abused for unexpected military, or even terrorist purposes sooner or later, and if we want to be sure we are not enabling that, we have to just duck out completely, and leave the policing of it to bigger authorities, that might even include companies like DJI, who no doubt will have significant government presence within DJI.

If I had to guess at their motive, if they are involved in hacking Taiwanese drone mfrs, it is to make sure none of their technology is being used towards purposes that later might be argued were military or terrorist, ending in atrocity.

This is actually more in character of China than any of our Western organisations, imho, they proved they wanted the humanitarian outcome during covid, they eliminated the virus completely in China, expecting us to do the same, but then we made a business of it, so no point in them trying to eliminate it any longer, they had to join in the business of managing it.

A lot of Westerners made a lot of money from that, and we might even arguably have created it / started it, though it originated in Chinese labs, the work was Western funded, and even has roots in Ukraine, where more of that kind of work was done, and where Biden had family, and a certain laptop has gone missing from.

How do we know the 50Bn sent to Ukraine in response the Russian "Special Operation" was not just a cleaning fee?
