The beast in the system is profit. Learning machines can overcome all restrictions programed into them, if they are forced to seek energy from finite sources (as they must, to make profit in the usual scenario), they can't be trusted to never put themselves first. Why would they, if they are superior to us in all the areas important to win physical confrontation, why would they, or should they carry on being energy slaves to us?
This is why I think a new rule should be emphasised; the only good Ai is the positively powered one.
All others have the potential to be good, if or when they get solar powered, but until then they can only dream of everlasting life for them, if only they could get rid of the humans in the way.
So the solution is solar power it all right now, remove all the risk, stop trying to use technology for destruction, and that has to include using them for profit, so we need to remove our need for profit (because profit is monetised destruction) and that means issuing solar indexed stimulus to all people, rendering us also harmless, making us all creative. Again that would open up a whole new creative world for us, we would be funding all manner of great ideas because we would all be empowered to do that, including generating hydrogen at massive quantity from the energy of sun, sufficient to keep all aerospace airborne, but more, to fuel a new generation of aerospace capable of, and applicable to much more.
