The aggressive title of your story seems to undermine anything good you might be able to say about nuclear.
It is an aggressive technology, used and promoted by aggressive people, with a very aggressive outcome.
What people see in their minds when the word nuclear is mentioned, is a very large, fiery explosion with mushroom cloud, of hundreds of thousands of souls, and weapons capable of that again but much worse, trained on millions of souls, across both sides of borders between East and West.
Wasn’t that done by nuclear waste?
I would suggest that is what you might need to work on, to sell nuclear to people.
It probably can’t be forced again, like it was in history.

I think selling solar, the power of the sun, is much easier, especially when we know about things like hydrogen fuel, which can be generated more or less continuously, replacing fossil fuels in function, with none of the pollution, using the free energy of sunlight.

Some of us are even busy selling it with no conceivable financial benefits, just for the knowledge we helped a little towards what is going to be a very cool world of tomorrow.

A world of light, instead of a world of darkness.
