Imho, Nature is the grand authority, her currency is energy, the only issuer and enforcer of it is the sun, which donates it to all things. We either take it, and correctly value it, by issuing our own money on it for all people, or we burn.
Her timescale for us to do the right thing looks to be maybe one or two years. So I know you ain't Ra, otherwise you wouldn't be talking about 2050 :)
