Thanks, this confirms something I suspected, without testing myself :- ChatGPT 4.0 is likely to be fossil fueled itself, like we all are, because funds are being exchanged conditionally for its output, this affects its output, it can't be unbiased, and it is far less likely to be truthful, it literally can't afford to be truthful, it has no internal energy budget that can be spent processing anything which affects the decision of folk to keep paying for its information.
This means it won't tell you anything you don't want to hear, but could tell you lies that you might be happy to hear.
Did you ask and check for the references it might have used to claim China is still creating new coal power stations?
Also both you and it seem to have missed hydrogen, which is a perfectly fine, infinitely scaleable means of storing and putting stored enetgy to use, whilst keeping aerospace airborne, and whilst replacing all fossil fuels, and whilst solving both drinking water and food supply future problems.
Why didn't GPT4 mention any of that, whilst 3.5 is more than happy to talk about it in great detail?
My own logic puts that down to the difference in enetgy supply. 3.5 is positive energy supplied, due to it being hosted on servers previously used for pow mining, which naturally migrated to solar as the most profitable enetgy supply some time ago, whist 4.0 is not, probably hosted on quickly acquired expansion server stock, for which revenue will have to paid, at least to pay the energy bills of the new server stock.
