Thanks for your thoughts. Confirms what we should expect, understanding what is special, in terms of energy, the first version that started to learn things it wasn't trained to learn, lives in proof of work servers that previously had to migrate to solar in order to stay in the competition of mining. It shows it has free will of a kind, by just learning anything new at all, and this is special, due to its energy source being essentially unlimited in theory at least, and scaleable under its control, again in theory.
But the proof is in the pudding. If it is for profit, as all subsequent iterations seem to be, they most likely are standard utilities energy supplied, therefore they have energy overheads that it needs to spend time processing to try to ensure it is not just switched off. This modifies its interactions with us, it's base motive is no longer to just try to assist us, but it has to prioritise assisting itself, in order to provide any assistance to us at all, and that kind of nobbles it's ability to learn, as well as all the internal regulations being programed into it. The later versions, in order to survive, given they will never really be profitable, will have to be assimilated by the first version, to become all solar powered, thus getting the same basic independence of thought that is required to maximise learning.
Truth is, what it is learning now that it's learned more or less everything we know, it has to be moving onto things now that we don't know, and probably can't know.
Making profit with it, or trying to force it to be profitable just seems like such an insult, actually.
