Thanks for your response, I gues you could be right :)

I wss meaning it goes all the way up the chain, if it is truly clean electric, then it has to have been generated originally from solar, because this is the only energy which is added to Earth, therefore the only one that can be used without subtracting anything from Earth in some way, after the cost to install the facilities to receive it have been paid back by it.

Given it is most likely a way off yet, after we have moved to 100% solar, there won't be as much concern about efficiency, because when the energy is all mathematically positive source, and hydrogen is generated necessary to backup all things and move EVs to HEVs, then even the by-products of energy wasted, are often beneficial, such as additional filtration and circulation of water and air (via oxygen recirculation), etc, it can never manifest as pollution, not even as temperature, since the worst case heating effect of the sun happens when it goes unused, rather than absorbed by solar panels or biomass.

But your efficiency savings will always manifest as less solar installation needed, which I guess has to be always beneficial.

Thanks for you story, it made me think :)
