But the author has a point, I wonder the same question of folk like Soros, and Buffet, they don't really need to carry on doing what they are doing, so why do they do it?
From an energy point of view, what each of the oldsters are sitting on, is in effect stored energy, that is energy locked up, to do nothing other than keep one stingy old git in relative comfort :)
Younger folk, imho younger even than millennial, actually gen z, like Thunberg for exaple, could put such energy to do so much more active good, it seems to me.
If it helps at all, I think this is coming soon, with the end of extracted energy there has to also come and end to the ability to retain inordinate value in capital, this will happen immediately on issue of solar backed stimulus, a backlog of which is building up and causing inflation.
After this starts, the reason for working changes, from what we are forced to do, to what we want to do.
In that scenario anyone wishing to work will be doing it for love, rather than for money or profit, so if you would really still be wanting to work, you would have many new opportunities.
