Thanks for highlighting something that looks to me like a dichotomy, that we might be, many of us normally non religious folk, be battling with. Hence why I now choose to pay attention to religion, it looks like when all else fails, we have to turn to faith.
For me, these two quotes together in the same article illustrate it:
(1) "Yes, those people do exist, and they are not constrained by religion or laws."
and
(2) "What are those of us who don’t need laws, constraints and commandments going to do about it?"
To me there isn't much difference between these two, they are the same - we all exhibit some of these characteristics, the beast is us, the same beast as defined in religions.
The key to me is to see which path is creation and which is destruction.
Saving lives rather than taking lives has to be seen as creation, the good path.
So far, the net result, by stopping the carnage in the places carnage was happening, especially to innocents, has to be what matters.
As long as that count continues to improve, despite what we think was awful, horrendous, old establishments being torn down, we should notice they had mostly all got corrupted and were no longer doing much good, just making some folk rich from charity, often at the expense of the lives of the folk they were supposed to serve.
In a wierd way, it makes both religious and technical sense that Trump does actually have supernatural support for what he is doing, it could all be in preparation to move us finally from technical destruction to technical creation. This is a big deal because it's something that will only ever happen once in human history, and it's been a few thousand years in the cooking, its the move of us as a species from energy extracted from the planet, to energy added to the planet.
This means also the end of energy slavery, which is something we've practiced forever, maintaining the societal power structures, maintained by possession of capital.
In other words, he is tearing down the power structures of all the elites surrounding him, and they are letting him, even participating in it with him.
Personally I think there is a very good chance they actually know the truth and are pre-empting what would be done by nature, if they didn't do it. And if we left it to nature, the body count woukd be unimaginably higher, making covid look like a common cold.
I am quietly hoping this might be the truth, that we are at last deliberately taking the right path.
So far so good, it seems to me.
Maybe the answer on what to do is sit back and enjoy the show. It isn't us taking the physical risk of battling with the beast - the least we can do is cheer them on, those that appear to be fighting it, and surviving... :)
