Electrical machine rotors can minimally comprise cheap iron and copper. I know because I’ve designed the things, with historical patents in ferrite based power components to prove it. Like I said I am no fan of windpower, only solar, but I fault your argument because misinformation about anything around “Renewables” just confuses most folk to the point of giving up trying to make sense of it. I would ask you what you want to get out of it, a fixed world, or a career?
