Sorry but you are only half right here, by identifying carbon capture as a problem but then associating it with hydrogen. The two things are not related, however widespread use of specifically solar powered hydrogen does have side effects of reversing the effects of pollution.
You can see this easily if create some energy flow diagrams and trace through the actual process of pollution creation, which is almost the inverse of the process of creation. I've warned about carbon capture many times, it is also easy to see why it is a problem, if in the flow diagrams we just mathematically sign energy, to show direction of flow, positive from sun, negative from Earth, and trace it through.
Thermodynamically, everything in the negative part is destruction by definition, the reversal of creation, the conversion of all kinds of things to energy, the creation of temperature itself.
Carbon capture has to sit also in the negative part, perpetuating use of negatively signed energy so is bad, part of a destructive process, since nature itself produces carbon dioxide itself, taking it upon ourselves to expend extracted energy on its reduction is a hiding to nothing, and actually is more destruction. though it is painted to be positive, it isn't, the net result is temperature rise, thermodynamically.
It is also then easy to see why putting hydrogen in the positive part, is good.
Solar is in the positive part.
Anything you do with solar is good, creation, even when we waste it, literally, there can be no heat pollution from it, no matter what we do because thermodynamically the worst case is that we don't do anything at all with it.
What will it take to get you to see this, because I have been through this with you previously and you never questioned this logic then, but now you seem to be ignoring it, by adding hydrogen into your target, hydrogen is actually the only way out of the energy mess, it actually meets all requirements of all stakeholders including nature, in fact if you read nature correctly, you should see nature is almost ordering us to use it to replace fossil fuels with it, all powered from the sun.
