Sorry but I don't see anything clever here, it's just more activity in an effort to raise investment funds which essentially have to come by more energy extracted from the planet with even more temperature impulse.
Batteries, no matter how exotic, will never keep commercial planes in the air.
Batteties will neither encourage nor reward putting more sunlight to use, in order to reduce the temperature impulse of the energy of the sun now unused by nature, since we removed much of the latter.
Batteries require marerials per Joule or Kwhr of storage, therefore immense mining effort, with all the inumanities and destruction of nature that come with that.
The net result of this study so far is to already add to the temperature impulse.
But worse, if anything comes of it, it has to be even more.
How much more damage needs to be done, before folk realise what is actually doing the damage?
Its the exploitation of the planet, which begins with exploitation of people.
Steal the energy of people, and we have to turn to the energy of the planet, to steal from it what was stolen from us.
This is the wrong way round, if we are ever to use solar energy effectively, it has to be donated through all people, to remove the need of all people from dependence on energy stolen from the planet.
I write how to do that, as well as how to replace the energy storage function of both batteries and fossil fuel, keeping all aerospace in the air, whilst winding back down the temperature, by re-emplyong as hydrogen the energy previously employed as fossil fuels, but now heating the planet.
It never gets promoted or advertised, because ads and promotion are all about profit, for profit, which is the energy con of all business as stands.
