Sorry Alex but I disagree fundamentally with your message here.

What you are suggesting is to simply continue with what is the Grand Energy Ponzi (GEP).

By claiming Kardashev meant the Energy of our planet, rather than the energy received by our planet, the truth that all energy comes from the sun, is obscured.

Then you go on to elaborate that confusion by talking about things like renewable energy, fusion, nuclear, etc, which are all forms of energy of Earth, received originally from the sun.

The GEP is the use of all energy from the Earth as a simple lump of capital, using the mechanism of profit.

Obviously that is unsustainable.

It was to avoid this confusion I talk only in terms of firsthand or secondhand energies in my Kardashev Hinge story, which you might have read.

The bottom line is, everything you’ve sought to support by this story appears to be profit driven, which is perpetuation of the GEP.
