We require energy for free to free our thoughts from this, per the free energy principle of life.
It comes for free from the sun, it doesn't have any possibility of profit.
Profit can only exists on a planet, not in space.
So if we do ever see any visitors from space, they probably won't be driven by profit, unless they arrive on a planet that they might be exploiting to stay in for-profit mode.
