Scott well done for daring to question the mainstream narrative, most of the replies here prove your whatabouties are correct, and if only those are triggering folk, well, they haven't seen anything yet.
There are much bigger shocks, both on the energy / environmental problem, and on the conflict, both of which are atrocities still to come out. And when they do, the best support whstleblowers can hope for is just silence. No-one seems to like to dwell on their own parts played in atrocities, so whistleblowers pointing out the truth are jailed or killed.
Is there any question we are living in autocracy / utilitarianism right now?
No question at all. We aren't allowed to ask.
But what goes around comes around. This is where I differ from your view slightly, the lesson can't be repeated over and over forever, the effect on environment, by the bullshit industry on steroids which is war, on top of all the other bullshit industry including making the weapons, all fueled by fossil fuels, is cumulative, with a point of no return which we are rapidly approaching, like a submarine diving past its maximum depth, we don't know now if it is recoverable, because we've never tried to drive the recovery pumps, many folk who can't see any way out, because they don't even know there is a recovery pump, are already
preparing for extinction.
The energy recovery pump, the only one existing, is solar power.
No matter how well we insulate things, how efficiently we run things, we are still diving deeper into the energy deficit with our planet, and the only way to start ascending, is to start driving the recovery pumps, hard.
Weapons scale spending has to be redirected to solar power infrastructure with no further delay, or we are done, as far as I can see.
