Scariest thing I've heard about it so far is that GPT3 was used to successfully sell Geoengineering to investors. As a result, now there are "Scientists" from top unis in the US actually carrying out experimantal Geoengineering in Mexico, funded by said investors, and the scientists are even boasting, proud, that their sales pitch was created by GPT3

I agree with the view that this is effectively playing Russion Roulette with the planet.

That is truly scary, I think, but what will anyone do about it, I have no clue.

Of course it will also be being consulted, on the other big quick planet killer, the logistics and likely outcome of a nuclear war.

The problem is it lies like a hairy egg, better than any human, but we don't really know if the lies are made with sentience or not.
