Rod your instincts are spot on, but systems view maybe not all the way there yet. Taxing, treating money and energy as a zero-sum game, as if what we gain, they have to lose, just carries on the energy slavery, it makes what was a physically imposed zero sum game before, an artificially imposed zero sum game now, when it doesn't have to be. Coveting what they have, assigns value to what they have, this just perpetuates the old system of haves and have not's - again its unnecessary because phyically, in terms of energy, knowing money is just abstracted energy, the system is open, the energy of the sun is physically shining in through all the solar farms, and all the solar panels, it all creates economic product which has to be monetised by issue of money reflecting the energy was donated for nothing, no work in return. All that needs to happen now, to fix the value in money, as well as remove the inequality, is for the energy of the sun to be monetised. This can be done without the haves losing what they have, we all get to gain something like what they have, by distributing the energy of the sun monetised. It doesn't matter that the energy in that money didn't come from hard work, it only matters that it is real physical energy, and it is, from solar.

Solar indexed stimulus is the answer, it even fixes the planet, reverses the temperature rise. With that issued by banks / governments / money issuers whatever, the beast is done, the energy slavery is done, we get freedom, and pure fine grained democracy - the money needed for everyone to have a say in how things work, energy independence for all, by unlimited availabilty of energy for all in the form of money.
