My whole being disagrees with any human willfully exerting scarcity on another human, when they don't have to.

I am an Engineer, I like to build things that work. If we built an engine that works like humanity, it wouldn't work at all, because every component in the engine would be hell-bent on starving its neighbours of energy.

Humans create most value when they are adequately supplied with the energy they need to grow to thier full potential. The potential of humanity to create value is stupendous, but it has been knee-capped at every turn by folk looking to exert scarcity on others.

Sanctions are nothing more than a bloody minded wish to exert scarcity on fellow humans, who might have generated a lot of value for the benefit of all.

That is how I feel about sanctions, all sanctions, and to be honest, the way our economy works is all wrong also, enslavement of the majority by a few priveliged, it doesn't generate much value at all.

That is why I spend my time now uncovering how nature is taking over, now she is calling the shots, to me it looks like she is at check, with one move to mate.
