Ray, to me we could be putting the cart before the horse, both nuclear war, and climate disaster are outcomes of the same problem, they are systemically related to the business of profit, which itself depends on energy extracted from Earth. Partly in response to another relevant post also by George Dillard, I am working on a comparison of unmonetised solar product outstanding, between the US and UK. Each represents an amount of money that should be issued to folk, to go towards boosting solar facility, which in turn would result in futher stimulus, which in turn would result in further facility expansion, and so on, repeating to 100% in probably only a few years, resulting in a permanent solar backed UBI. Issue of this would completely defuse the energy crisis, the cost of living crisis, the rising crime crisis, the climate crisis, thus of course the drive to war, as well as turning us round from destruction mode, to creation mode, which would start to reverse much of the damage done to date.
