Ray this is cool, I hope the outcome is as you intend.
Fundamentally important, is what to demand, who to demand it from, and why.
The Systems Analysis reveals the fundamental source of the problem to be energy; where we get it from, and how we handle it.
When it comes from any profit driven source, it has to come by extraction, which involves firstly destruction of things created by nature previously from solar energy, and the production of pollution, in all cases. So no form of extraction is sustainable, all are unsustainable, no exceptions.
The only form of energy which involves no extraction, we can thus use indefinitely, ultimately with no environmental penalties, in fact undoing previous environmental damage, is solar. This is the only one that adds Joules from an external source to those already put to use on Earth by nature. No other "Renewable" can make that claim.
The additional Joules of solar energy are pushed to us for free from the sun, so they involve no extraction, all we need is appropriate local infrastructure to receive it.
That infrastructure, independent of any grid, has to include hydrogen fuel backup capability; a by-product of full backup being excess hydrogen fuel, which functionally replaces fossil fuels with none of the pollution.
All vehicles previously run on fossil fuels are convertible to run on hydrogen, even EVs designed to be charged by grid electrical can be converted to dual use electrical / hydrogen by swapping out the battery for reversible fuel cells. Hydrogen generated from solar functionally replaces fossil fuels with none of the pollution, whilst even providing some capabilities for water generation, given appropriate vehicle water collection facilities.
Maintenance of all of these facilities after complete implementation of solar, can be done on an incremental basis, funded directly from the solar product, as I've explained in the "Money-fuel tree" story.
What needs to be demanded, from the world's money issuers, is immediate issue of free money for all people; "Kardashev Money" sufficient to carry out this implementation of the required distributed community solar power infrastructure.
It can be justified, by pointing out that the solar product already received and put to use by all people has not so far been formally monetised, since no official release of funds has ever been made on it. It is a very large amount of money, which has to be continuously issued, to rescue the value of the dollar and the currencies in all countries failing to reflect the actual value of solar product being received.
A reasonable starting point would be $4Tn per month in the US, as was previously issued, when stimulus was required in the US.
The reason the dollar is now failing, manifesting in inflation, is that the principle of Austrian Economics is being broken, as long as stimulus is not issued, reflecting the value of actual solar product received and put to use, so many Joules per token currency. We can't accurately know exact values for this, an initial value has to be chosen, and the rate of issue adjusted to find the maximum value of the currency in markets.
It was previously claimed that this kind of stimulus was unsustainable, but actually it is fully sustainable, because the energy that it reflects being received is fully sustainable. There are already many tens of GW of capacity in use in every country already, and it will easily scale to %100+ coverage.
There are people who will dispute what I've said here, they will be folk who think they stand to lose somehow from this switch, from capitalism to "Energyism", lose their "Bullshit Industry", or jobs, or perhaps folk who just want to takeover control of the old system of capitalism as stands, and obviously anyone still thinking the old system is somehow sustainable... we just need to know how to spot them, and how to counter them as they arise, all can be educated to understand, it seems to me.
This is the only way to end the "Grand Energy Ponzi", and all its negative effects; demand "Kardashev Money" from the money issuers to the value of at least $10K dollars per head per month, for every person, no exception, on the understanding at least some of it will voluntarily be put to use implementing %100+ local community solar with full hydrogen backup, and all is solved, it seems to me.
ps for anyone interested to know more, I've written previously in Medium on all of the terms I've used used in "Quotes" above, in around 280 stories to date, from when I happened across the unsustainable energy problem as a thirty year practicing systems Engineer, working on a dependent PhD candidate project which began in 2017.
