Ray this a great story, its something that really needs to be said and emphasised, this is existential, and we all know its connected with energy.

To me it looks like there might be some genetic programming at work. We appear to be sensitive, those of us with this programming, to shortage of extractable energy in the environment.

Because profitability is directly linked to ease of extraction, because profit is extracted enegy, always, and this increases difficulty of extraction has to hit profit margins. All profit margins. And look it is, forcing many companies now into practices we previously defined as crime, like theft etc

We seem to react to this very badly, enacting for real what we've seen depicted in "The hunger games", and "The purge", and etc.

This is like swarming ants consuming one other when food gets scarce, and it is just the logical conclusion of everyone being pitted against one another in competition, locked into the for-profit system that we should recognise is actually energy slavery.

We thought we got rid of slavery but actually its still with us, still cracking the whip, to do whatever it demands, even if it includes atrocity.

The reason I ask whether this might be programmed, is that we do not seem to notice that the real energy we should value is from solar, and actually, this is the only energy we can create from, therefore reversing increasing entropy, so this is the only one we should really value, and yet we don't we only monetise energy extracted from the planet. And we never question this, though its obviously hackable, assuming I have the programming, I seem to have hacked it.

If we worked on logic alone, rather than what we might have been initially programed with, we should quckly deduce that the basic shortage of available KWhrs / Calories / Joules can easily be made up using KWhrs / Calories / Joules from the sun.

But we don't.

It has to be programmed, I think.

If it is, its probably pretty important we become aware of it, and hack it, as soon as we can, because this is the only way to short-circuit / defuse things, I think.
