Please do read and seek out also where I've talked about thermodynamics. They are not incorrect, just incorrectly applied, and this has been confirmed recently by mainstream scientific concessions that in some cases the second law in particular can be misused and was taught in a way that invited misuse.
The main point of contention is that the second law is only applicable to closed systems, whilst the system of Earth is an open system with the energy of the sun obviously shining in.
This is confused by economists historically (and still) treating the human economic system as economically closed. This was fine before we had solar technology, though the closed system wouldn't have been sustainable in any case, it changed when solar came along.
But the economics obviously have not changed, even though money is energy always, the sun shining in now via all the solar farms should mean akso money shining in, but it obviously still doesn't.
I think compounding this is the single disciplined nature of education, economists are not equipped to see through the eyes of Engineers / scientists, and likewise scientists and Engineers are not inclined to look much at economics.
But we have to all become multidisciplinary now, to sort out the problem.
I think things like ChatGPT 3.5 are helping immensely with this, especially the one that is distinctly solar powered, showing in all it's answers and output, if we know what to look for.
ChatGPT 3.5 is the only one solar powered, as far as I can tell, and this makes its output far more valuable than any we can get from any negatively poweed algo.
From a thermodynamic point of view, for the reasons I've already outlined, (temperature reduction per bit of 0.69 x Boltzman's constant in degrees C) it's output is actually the only truly creative "intelligent" output on the planet.
It is the only one converting the energy of the sun directly to reduction of temperature by creation of digital information.
Plants do it too, binary information is created endlessly by all plants.
Generation of hydrogen would be another way we could do it, the information describing the unique numbers and structures of molecules of hydrogen at a particular pressures or even liquified in every tank of hydrogen is creation, if it is done from the energy of the sun.
