Personally I think you are overreacting.
Twerking is actually something that has become popular all over the African diaspora as well as in Africa, and all Afro-Carribean dancing is based on Rumba, which is the dances of the Spirits of Yoruba, and the folklore associated with them is pretty raunchy, with simulated sex scenes, if you went to see a traditional folkloric show done by a professional cuban dance company in Cuba, that's what you would see, Shango, who was the king spirit warrior of fighting and ummm well, shagging... there will be simulated scenes with him doing stuff with at least one female spirit, his Wife, or his mistress, all in time to the music which is live raw "Timba" percussion and singing.
Twerking is closely related to what is now Reggaeton, if you check out Reggaeton, it often involves a lot of Twerking, and both males and females might be doing it.
Also they learn to do it at a very young age, babies twerk naturally to music, and are encouraged to do that, even in the street, this is how they have an ability for uncanny movements of the hips when they become adults, they have massive flexibility there, which enables them to move in ways that are more or less impossible for anyone of Western upbringing.
Westerners are actually just quite jealous, I think.
