Personally I think the system of capitalism created this problem, by making it immensely profitable, for those things to be well rewarded. Epstein’s and the Maxwell’s wealth were self evident. If it hadn’t been them, it would have been others, doing the same things. I noticed you linked another story about the meek being f**cked.
I disagree. The folk being brought down were anything but meek.
But there is coming a reckoning much bigger than the courts, that is only just getting starting with inflation.
Capital, all capital, is devaluing, because it has to.
The reasons for that are fundamental, it comes down to energy, and where we get it from.
That doesn’t ultimately affect the meek much, in fact it empowers them, but it completely de-thrones all capitalists, that is those depending on capital, no matter how big or small.

If we think we are, or are not capitalists, we should ask ourselves how much we depend on capital for an income. If we have any dependence at all on investments for profit, or even for a rainy day, we should think again, I would say.
