Pepe, all brilliant questions, and all on topic. Actually nothing is off topic, we are talking about the system of nature, and how humanity has to blend with it, so everything we can possibly think of comes into the equation, and much more.
On the question of materials, firstly we should see that there is much misinformation on the relative harm of materials in solar panels.
This is generated by, and the preferred narrative of all business that stands to be superseded by the transition to mathematically positive energy use.
We might think at first of only the utilities energy supply business, and energy extraction business, but it is actually much more, including such things as banks, governments, and even law and order.
Crime itself is superseded.
War is superseded.
Colonialism is superseded.
All of those things were a useless waste of energy, the mathematically negative energy needed to sustain them.
I wrote about those as "Bullshit business", an extension of the concept of "Bullshit jobs" first coined by David Graeber. If you haven't read his paper on that, I highly recommend it. He identifies a growing unease we all have, with being forced to work for a living in a useless system that does no good, in jobs we hate.
Bullshit business is done by bullshit jobs.
When we start to see the enormity of bullshit business, we quickly realise that the actual power requirement of humanity powered by mathematically positive energy, is actually much less than it is powered by mathematically negative energy.
Understanding this is all systems Engineering. The human motivation part is what we formally call the Stakeholder analysis.
You will hear that term abused by parties claiming to be doing it when actually they have no formal knowledge of what it means.
A Stakeholder analysis is incomplete until it has exhaustively covered all possible angles.
In the case of the energy systems of nature, and humanity, we can't possibly see everything in advance, so we just have to be happy that we know enough to proceed, knowing that the general principle is sound, all other things will fall into place.
On who should be rewarded first, I agree wholeheartedly it should be the countries and peoples who have suffered most, to bring technology to where it is. But the biggest challenge here is overcoming the will and ignorance of the minority holding most capital.
So the solution has to appease them first, or it just won't happen, they will prevent it by an iron fist, as they have always done.
So we have to put aside all feelings of injustice, as if they were guilty of nothing, allowing the rewards to go to them first, if that is what needs to be done, to "Break the dam", enabling the proceeds to finally flood out to the majority.
Once the dam is broken, it can't be put back, they will lose all power to control it. They will effectively be relinquishing their power to control by capital.
Capital has no power in the presence of unlimited free energy.
At this point we are effectively starting an engine, a solar powered engine, the plant of humanity, which we might see is something that was always waiting to be started, something that we were unconsciously building as a species for our entire history.
It works the same as any plant in nature, all wealth within it comes entirely from the sun via its leaves, and it passes on far more than it uses to Earth.
The key to starting this engine is in the issue of stimulus representing the Joules put to use already from the sun.
We already saw it demonstrated during covid.
Things happened which were actually like miracles, but have been since underplayed, by those wielding capital, who wished to retain their control.
The free energy dam almost broke, but they patched it up, and here we are, with inflation that will not stop, until the right thing happens, the dam has to be allowed to burst open.
To me, this is actually the real reason Trump was cancelled.
Whether by accident or design, he almost burst open the dam.
He is still the only president who ever presided over an actual spike of environmental recovery, which itself was a kind of miracle, which science had previously claimed was impossible.
Profit driven science, another bullshit business, is responsible for an awful lot of misconceptions, it seems to me.
I hope this helps answer most of your concerns. I have written about most of these topics at some time or another, but it gets buried by more profitable stories, que Sera.
The one thing that can't be gotten around, and which will eventually force the issue, is inflation.
After we see what is driving it, we realise it is unfixable by the greatest will in the world, without fixing the problem of the energy deficit with our planet, and the only way to do that is by solar power, the only source of mathematically positive energy.
The challenge we have, is to convince those in power that their riches will be dissolved, together with anything and everything anyone else might have, as surely as a stone drops out of the air, until they "Do the right thing", allowing the dam to burst open.
The longer they delay, in doing that, the more suffering will continue.
