Paying Towards a War We can’t win, Whilst Removing Winter Heating Subsidies. Is this sanity?
Christmas Insanity in UK and all around — A Poem
A Christmas Haunting
As the bells ring, war looms, and the earth grows cold,
The distant drums of war now echo near,
Genocide’s shadow looms, to haunt us here,
What once seemed far now threatens to unfold.
We watch the sky, the frost begins to creep,
While we ignore the cries, the stories deep,
The cost of battles fought in foreign lands,
Is paid in lives, and still we fill the sands.
As warmth is stripped from homes, we feel the sting,
We send funds to wars, while the earth groans.
A finite pot? No, that’s a lie —
Solar wealth is waiting, yet we pass it by.
The lessons learned through suffering’s tide,
Lost in the haze of a distorted guide,
We’ve built a world that cannot see,
The ties that bind us — systemically.
For war is not just distant, not just far,
It’s on the horizon, it’s who we are.
We let the future slip, too blind to see,
The cost of this war, the cost of greed.
But on the other side, a shift may come,
A leader from a world of words undone.
From the opposite camp, a chance to change,
To shift the course, to break the chains.
If he sees the truth, and takes a stand,
The current rulers may find their land,
Is marked by choices, blind to grace,
A future lost in war’s embrace.

What does the graphic have to do with the poem?
The link on the graphic is to the account of a writer from Indian-looking background, lamenting loss of someone of his community knowledge, another young Engineer, lost unnecessarily to the perception filter. The negative powered algos are intent to wipe all evidence of the harm it does. I bet no humans were involved in suspending above account, I bet it was a negative system, trying to defund them, trying to shut up the voices that would make us think twice about carrying on working for the beast system.
