Paul you are asking some very relevant questions, it seems to me, well done, though to me the two issues of war and climate disaster are systemically related to the same root cause - the practice of all profit driven business is fully dependent on energy by extraction from Earth, as well as climate disaster, the business of profit has to end in war when all other options (Profitable Energy sources) have been exhausted.
